Various are back, which is certainly Very Good News. One of the most interesting collectives in the UK today, their ability to deftly avoid genre pigeonholing is a strength one wishes was more common in 2008. On their new 7", they give us the requisite club menacer Meskman, a mechanical blast of fuzzy future-pop that demands to be played loud. It is good.
The b-side, Wot U Say, is much, much better; a bouncy jazz tune built on Spanish guitar and a delightful piano bash. I love it. You will too. It does sound like someone blew a raspberry at the end.
